Happy January!
New Year’s might be my favourite part of the year. I’m a very nostalgic person, and love looking forward to the new year, hoping it will be amazing and full of joy!!
A few months ago, the awesome team at Yaser and Mayasa sent me this gorgeous heavyweight stretch fabric, and I thought it would just be perfect for a workout outfit!! Because New Year’s is the best time to start working out, right?? (said legitimately by everyone in the world ever). Working out can certainly do wonders for both your physical and mental health so, if you’ve been relying on CBD oil UK laws, or the laws wherever you are, to allow you to take CBD to help support your wellbeing, now might be the time to add exercise into your life and see just what a difference that can make. You could decide on buying smaller fitness equipment or even opt for a leased equipment (for example, if you live in the United Kingdom, you could opt for companies who give gym equipment hire in Glasgow and other parts of the country as well) too! However, if you’re ever looking for some statement fabrics, Yaser and Mayasa is definitely the place to go – their website overflowing with with some of the most incredible fabrics I’ve ever seen!
For the top, I used the Euler Bralette and Modification Pack Extended Back patterns. It’s lined in a soft bamboo jersey, so the inside feels all snuggly like jammies, and the beautiful main fabric (called the self in the design world) is almost a denim weight, with a really excellent stretch and compression, which is perfect for a workout top. Since the fabric is a lot heavier than normal bra making fabric, I sized up to a size small, instead of the extra small I usually hang around at.
The leggings are a personal pattern from a collection I did four years ago (yikes that is so many years). The stripes are made with the same fold over elastic used on the bra top, which I just sewed into all of the seams, then topstitched down. Easy peasy!
I’m just in love with my new workout outfit!! I’m gonna go out to a kickboxing class and beat up some sand bags and look hella fly. Oh yeah. Check out the strength in these limbs.
Did you know the Euler Bralette pattern was so versatile?? I absolutely love seeing the ways people use it, and all the gorgeous underwear you all have been making!! Check out the #eulerbralette hashtag to see all the beautiful bras!!
What are your New Year’s Resolutions? Any fitness related?
Happy Sewing!
